Praise the Lord! After lots of talks and negotiations, Westwind church now has a location. Beginning Sunday, September 7th, Westwind Church will be meeting at Waukee Elementary School. This is an incredible answer to prayer. Waukee Elementary School has all the we need as a church. We are thankful to Waukee Community School District for their hospitality. We also thank God for his faithfulness. There is also reason to celebrate regarding our Westwind Church offices. Starting May 1, the Westwind office will be located at 502 6th Street in Waukee. This is only a block away from Waukee Elementary School, so it is a prime location. There will be some painting and decorating that needs to be done, so if that is your thing, let us know.

FEBRUARY 28 (7-8:30 PM) Prayer is one of Westwind Church’s Key Values. So, every month we are taking time to pray, asking God to guide us in our efforts. We hope you will join us as we bring Westwind Church and its mission to God. There will be a time of prayer, worship and fellowship. We will be using 1 Samuel 2 as our road map to make this a special evening. It is important to bring together everyone who is excited about Westwind Church, and we think prayer is the way to do it. We hope you will be able to attend. CLICK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS

After weeks of prayer, negotiations, and sitting back and watching God work, Westwind is excited to announce that it is partnering with Cornerstone Church in Ames, IA. Brandon and Geoff have met with the leaders, elders, and staff of Cornerstone and made the decision to plant Westwind with their assistance. This is a God-sized partnership since both churches value biblical teaching, team preaching, the 3-C Model, missions, and about 70 other things (including Geoff Safford’s and Troy Nesbitt’s affinity to shoot things). It has been so exciting to watch God bring two great churches, both in different phases of existence, together to complete the purpose of reaching the next generation of Jesus follower.
One thing that both churches have in common is that this is the first church plant for both, so continue to pray for Westwind and Cornerstone as they seek to be a local church with a global mission and help people grow where they are planted!

Please be in prayer for the Night to Remember (Monday, January 7th) event in which the vision and direction of Westwind Church will be laid out. It should be a time of prayer, vision, and connections.
