Westwind will host a week of science camp for student’s ages 6-10 this summer. The dates are July 27-30. We will spend the week learning all about the incredible world that we live in and how God has designed it for us. It will be a week of hands on learning and include several field trips to site around the area. One highlight will be a day at the Science Center with our teachers helping us to see God’s truth in each display. We will also go on a fossil dig and explore the creation timeline. The cost for the week is $25, includes a t-shirt and all trips. Students will bring their own lunch daily. We will meet from 9am to 3pm daily. The camp will be held in the pavilion at Ridge Pointe Park Park in Waukee.

We are excited to announce the kick off of a college age ministry partnering with Cornerstone Church of Ames. We are bringing The Salt Company to West Des Moines. We will meet at Connxions in Urbandale. (See map below) Thursday, June 11 will be our first meeting and we will continue to meet on Thursdays until July 23. The time will be from 7:30-9 pm. There will be opportunities for small groups as well. Our theme for the summer will be the 10 commandments and how they apply to everyday life. We have a great teaching team combining the TSC team from Ames and the teaching team from Westwind. We will have a great time of musical worship every week. If you are college age, (18-24) you won’t want to miss this time together!

This summer 5th-8th graders are going to have their minds blown by how much fun a person can have in three months. We are calling it Rocket Summer of Awesomeness! Every week we will have an event designed for fun, and to help students get connected. And we want you to be a part of it!
Here are just a few reasons why you should get involved:

We have kept the cost low so you don’t have to spend a lot of money this summer.
