So many chapters of the gospels focus on the final week of Jesus’ life. Seven critical days close out the life and ministry of the most influential figure that has ever stepped foot on the planet. What was He up to and what consumed His thinking? What was He fervently preaching to the masses during His final 7 days as the shadow of the cross loomed large on the horizon? And how would this tragic ending turn in to the greatest victory of all time? You are invited to join us at Westwind Church on Easter Sunday as we encounter God and celebrate His greatness during what we are calling The Finale.

Join us on Easter Sunday (April 8th) as we use worship, art and God’s Word to celebrate the risen Savior!

Join Westwind as we join with Cornerstone Church of Ames for a special Good Friday service. This four hour event is designed to walk you though the events leading up to Easter. Through worship, prayer and teaching you will be drawn into the crucifixion of Christ. Although you can come and leave as you please, this event has four separate hours of expression. To fully experience it you are encouraged to be there for the whole event.

GROW is ending with a BANG! For our final night of the school year, we are hosting Josh Denhart who is the founder and creator of “The Amazing Chemistry Show”, an educationally entertaining stage production filled with explosions, colored foam, liquid nitrogen, and glow-in-the-dark solutions, all set to up-beat music.

One of the greatest gifts Josh has is his ability to present a program that entertains and educates the entire family. More than just education and entertainment, an encouraging message is also shared that will leave a powerful impact on adults, yet be simple enough for children to understand. The Science Show is filled with high-energy and fast-paced experiments, laughter, fun, and audience involvement.

Josh will be joining us April 4th from 6:30-8:00pm at South Middle School. Bring a friend! Bring a neighbor! Bring anyone you can find!

Ever found yourself asking, “Does Westwind have a pictorial directory?” or “How can I contact all the members of my connection group?” Well, we now have the answer. Woosh is Westwind’s online community-building tool that will help you get connected to others at Westwind, plus a whole lot more. It is an online database that will help you generate connections to people in your connection group, ministry areas, and interest areas.
Here are a few things you should know about Woosh:

• It isn’t Facebook. We aren’t trying to be your social network. What we are trying to do is link you to people at Westwind and ministry opportunities.
• You will have privacy. You get to set decide who sees what, not us.
• It’s eco-friendly. We won’t need tons of paper to print directories. Now all the information is online and even accessible by smart phones.
• Your kids are safe. No one under the age of 13 will be displayed.
• Check out what’s happening. Participants have a personalized view of their upcoming activities, serving opportunities and needs.
• Volunteer. Now you can sign up to serve in a ministry area online. You can let your ministry leader know when you are available and when you are not.
