DB ANTRIM {Family Pastor} [email]

Born in Washington and eventually making his way to Iowa after living in 6 other states, DB has been involved in student and family ministry for 20 plus years. His senior year of high school DB started as Youth Coordinator of his church and his passion for student ministry has only grown since then. Launching new programs, leading mission, leadership, and high adventure trips, and most recently being a Junior and Senior High Student Minister, itʼs easy to see that DB has a heart for todayʼs youth. He obtained his Associates Degree in Elementary Education through Georgia State and graduated from Moody Bible Institute with his Bachelors in Education, with a Youth Ministry Emphasis. DB enjoys spending time with his wife, Allison, and their two sons. You can usually find them all outdoors, disc golfing, camping or hiking together.

BRANDON BARKER {Lead Pastor} [email]

Brandon is a definite Iowan/Minnesotan blend, hailing from the Quad Cities and working for a time in the Twin Cities. He got his bachelor of arts degree from Bethel College in St. Paul. Brandon worked most recently at Valley Church in West Des Moines, and previously served at Grace Church in Edina, Minn., and Cross of Christ Community Church in Eagan, Minn. Brandon and his wife Karla are parents to Grace and Seth. A movie buff, Brandon also enjoys camping, disc golf and reading. Also a proud youth ministry veteran, Brandon has 17 years of practicing the answer to “What do we do now?” and has been known to occasionally perform some belly-laugh-inducing original song compositions.

MICHAEL BOSWORTH {Worship Lead} [email]

Michael began pursuing music at a young age taking piano lessons and teaching himself how to play guitar.  He formed a band in Highschool and attended Iowa State University with his band mates.  In college, God brought him to faith in Christ and introduced him to a church that valued authentic worship and sound teaching.  Michael, now married with two daughters, has found a passion for exalting God in the arts by leading people in musical worship and leading artists to use their gifts for the highest purpose.

LORI MUETH {Ministry Assistant} [email]

Lori is your typical Iowa, born and raised, country girl. Growing up on a farm with her seven younger siblings made life anything but dull and boring. Her small town background gives her a big heart for people. Whether that be traveling to Togo, Africa with YWAM (Youth With A Mission), or flying across the country to California to work as a camp counselor and lifeguard, Lori is always eager to explore new things and invest in others lives. Lori graduated with her degree in Graphic Communications from Hawkeye College in May 2010, and has recently moved to West Des Moines. She enjoys athletics and spending time with friends, especially over ice cream or around a bonfire. Lori will be the friendly voice on the other end of the phone line when you call the church office.

RACHEL ROHDE {Children’s Ministry Associate} [email]

Rachel has interacted with children her whole life. Having grown up in a small town, she babysat a lot and eventually decided to make her heart for children into a career. She graduated from Iowa State University in May 2010 with a bachelor degree in Child, Adult, and Family Services. It was at Iowa State that God got a hold of Rachel’s heart leading her to serve in the college and junior high ministries and eventually taking her to India and China for two summers to minister to the University students. As a result of these travels, Rachel has developed somewhat of an iron stomach and can tell you many stories about the “interesting” foods she has eaten. Rachel and her husband, Jase, moved to West Des Moines in January and love taking advantage of all that the Des Moines has to offer. She enjoys reading, going for walks, watching movies, playing yard games, and date nights with Jase.

PAUL SABINO {Teaching Pastor} [email]

Paul is a teacher, encourager and leader. He has most recently served on staff with Cornerstone Church of Ames for 15 years and during that time was involved in Salt Company College Ministry, Freshman college ministry and had a primary role of teaching and discipling among college students, men and families. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa Sate University and is currently finishing his Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Paul is excited about this transition to Westwind, building relationships, and the ministry God has for him here. Paul has been married to his wife, Jenni, for 15 years and enjoys spending quality time with her and their three children.
