Shawn, your story is a great reminder to me not to overthink things when it comes to presenting this simple message. That always gets me in trouble. And thanks Kaci and Brandon for your wonderful comments as well!

This reminds me of the song "Beauty of Simplicity" by Telecast. I heard the lead singer talk about the story behind the song. After spending a few hours with an unbeliever and laying out the Gospel to him, the man accepted the Gospel message. When he asked what it was that made him decide to accept it, he said because it was so simple. I find that to be humbling. It wasn't about the presentation, it was that the Gospel is so simple, yet so deep.

I find it too alarming that most people cannot explain the gospel. Kevin, you hit the nail on the head at how simple it is.

This refreshes my soul. I love that God wants us to have a knowledgeable heart. He wants us to experience the Gospel in a way that is deep and penetrating to the soul. Anything less than that is wasting the gift He has given us.
